My best year yet

 The best year yet!!!!!!!!

This year was my best year yet. I just wish that I can stay in Room 30. It will be so sad to leave room 30. It was so epic.


My favourite time was in term 4 when our Clevedon buddys came. My buddy was Joe. He's cool. I
 did heaps of cool stuff with him. I've enjoyed doing weaving with him. It was hard but it turned out awesome.

It was funny when we tried to crash google apps. We had about 28 people on the same document. Why were 28 people on a document because we were doing chunks. It did not work.

When we were learning about Rome. Miss Lankow  came up with an idea of making our own mosaics. First me made a paper mosaic. It didi not take that long to make. Then we made a mosaic out of clay. We had to make  square tiles then we painted it. Next we use a hot glue gun to glue the tiles on a square pice of wood. Last we put grout around the tiles.

My goal for next year is...

To get better at reading.

To do my best at the subjects I want to get better at.

Grandparent Day

Friday 31st of October it was grandparents day. My grandparents did not come but other peoples grandparents did come. The grandparents came at 9:30 they left at lunch time. We had a constant my favourite parts was  middle dance group.We where videoed live.First we started doing spelling testing then the grandparents started to came. Then everyone started to do different things. Some people took their grandparents for a walk around the school. 

Maths trail

On Monday 11th August the whole middle school did the maths trail. Their was 16 questions.
We all had to start at a different question. We started after cross county. We where all so tried most of us was walking so slow but some people in Room 13 was running hardcore they were cheaters. It dose not matter if you came let because coming first dose not give you points the way to  get points is to get the answers correct.

Swimming

Every Wednesday Room 30 goes swimming. We on a bus to get to there. I am in line 2 with Jared, Kairyn, Bradley and other people. We have already done the  life jacket it was awesome we where not aloud to wear googles. Everyone had fun. Did you have fun? The life jackets were really cold I could of freezed to death.What I liked about this lesson is everything.

Real Cross country

On Thursday 21 of August, 

We had the real cross country, we started at botany downs collage, before we started we had to walk there .I tripped up 2 time but did not get engird. I had to jog all the way. Jared was pointing at me, laughing at me and stuck his tough out at me. I was so mad at him . People was filming us running . My foot got stuck in the mud but George help me then I started running again. I stayed until the end of the real cross country. It was awesome at the real cross country. Josh came 1st Jacob came 2nd I don't know who came 3rd  out of the year 6's. Cross country ended at the start of lunch time which was 12:30. Our shoes was cowered with sticky mud. 

Trip to Clevedon School

On Monday the 30th of June, Room 30 went to Clevedon school. Room 30 was the first class to go to Clevedon School.They showed us around their school. We made cardboard aqueducts it was a lot of hard work. On that day it was raining but we still had fun at Clevedon School. Their hall stage is bigger than our hall stage but our school is bigger than their school. My buddy was Joe. He is a Year 6.

Ancient Rome

This term Room 30 have been learning about ancient Rome.We done some reshearch about ancient Rome. We had question to answer Josh and I's question is what kind of animals do the fight in the colosseum.Our first answer was they fight animals with sharp teeth like lions.Everyone has diffident questions.

Art gallery

Monday the 7th of April Room 30 went to the art gallery. We went at 9:15. Before we went on the bus to the art gallery we had a little snack.

First, we met this guy call Jeremy. We were talking about what we going to do.

Then, we went into this room. We had to put on some. Then we were talking about what we were going to do. We were going to do a painting.

Next, we started drawing the picture we did at class then we started outlining it with vivid. Next we started painting it. After we finished the painting we put it on this star chase to let dry.

Last of all, we went walked out of the room we went to looked at 7 art work. Then we went back to school.

Reading groups

March 2014 room 30 got to know what reading teacher group we were in.The groups we have is J.K Rowling, Joy Cowley, Dr Seuss, Roald Dahl. All the groups just started reading one book. My group which is Roald Dahl and we have started reading a book called Dayton and the happy tree. We do reading after morning

Jump jam

On Thursday 6 March Room 30 went to the hall for jump jam. The first song we did was move it like this, the second song we did was ketch up song and the third song was the haka song.Lots of people got house points when they were dancing like us. One of the middle school kids was the best in jump jam.

Our stars

A couple of weeks ago Room 30 started making 3d stars. First, we got our pad paper and we wrote 10 things about us. Second, we got the unfolded star and coloured cardboard then we got our gluestick and glued the unfolded star. On the coloured cardboard. Third, we cut the unfold star then we started folding our star after we folded our star. We took an iPad and took a photo of ourselves. Fourth,we wrote our 10 things about us on our star then we uploaded our photo on the
laptop. Lastly, we glued our photo on the star then we wrote our name on our star next we gave it to Miss Lankow. Then she put a string on the top of the star and hung it up.
