The lost city of Pompeii

Pompeii was a small village that grew into a big town. Today, I'm going to tell you the story of when Mount Vesuvius erupted. There were lots of warnings that the volcano was going to erupt, such as dogs started howling, smoke poured out of Mount Vesuvius, birds stopped singing, but the people took no notice. Then, on the day the volcano was going to erupt, the ground shook, but still the people took no notice. Then, the volcano erupted! The people ran into the streets to see what was happening. Why was the sky on fire? What was happening?

Then the next part is about a deadly cloud. There was an unusual but deadly cloud, growing out of the volcano. That cloud was full with rock and hot ash. Then the boiling ash began to fall from the cloud. The ash choked people. They could not breathe, they couldn't even scream for help! The ash was not so dense yet. Then, rocks began to fall from the cloud. Some of these were small pumice stones. Others were huge rocks. They crashed on to the roads and buildings. The rocks broke into buildings and choked the people inside.  Some people were crushed in the crowd as they ran away. Others were killed by the falling rocks. Now it was dense. Some  people were buried alive. People tried to escape by boat but the heavy ash did not let them go. Now, the city was buried. Only the tops of buildings could be seen.

The volcano erupted for two days. When it stopped, survivors tried to return, they were shocked by what they saw! The great city of Pompeii was gone! The city was buried under a thick layer of ash. The survivors then lived in other parts of Italy. Over time, the world forgot about Pompeii. Then diggers found Herculaneum,which was another city that was buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted. Pompeii was found afterwards. The ruins of Pompeii show us what life was like a long time ago.

Xtra Math

On extra math you do addition subtraction time and mixed and there are 5or6 people on subtraction I am on addition and I am bad at race the teacher on addition and i am really good at quizzes and I am better at race the teacher now I wish that I was the highest person on extra math. By Kairyn.

Today we had a Assembly and the year six's where not here.
So the year five  where trying to get every thing working.
When we wacht a minecraft video's the sound was not working.
So they got the microphone  and it by the computer it was a good idea.      
When we got the sound working they where awesome video.

Our Mosaic Art

We are making Mosaic arts. Making them is a lot of fun.We cheated! This how to make them: First of all, you will do heaps of ruling, it's fun! You mostly will be using 2 cm. Then you have got to start colouring your picture. Ask a parent or teacher to chop it up with a chopping machine. Then use sticks to mark the amount of space. Last of all, put a number on the back of each one and PVA them on.

minecraft

minecraft is an awesome game you can go on creative or survival .in  survival you have to try to survive from the monsters  and you have to build your house. in creative you can fly and break blocks easy you can build a lot and blow up stuff . 

Gymnastics

Some times,on monday we normally have gymnastics.We do skipping,moon hopis,the beam.rolling on the mat.the class that we do it with is room 12.We have to wear our pe gear.when you get on a moon  hopis you have to bounce on them.Gymnastics is fun and up.

Singing

In singing time the middle school goes to Miss Alines room to learn some new songs and sing some old songs.We sing until it is lunch time.The middle school sings for about half an hour. I love singing, it is my favourite hobby.In Point View School we also have a middle school choir and a sinner  school choir.

Technology

I  did lots of sawing.Mrs Blakeman helped me do messy painting  but she  said I can paint  her hands all black and we used paper towels.After that  Mr Rankin said we need to draw big pictures on the wood.Next we used the wood drill he said to make pictures.I had lots of fun. by Alyssa

Don't argue with friends!

I have two best friends named Jack and Joshua. They are probably the best friends anyone could have. Now the best life anyone can have is if you don't argue with friends or if they don't argue with you. Cause if you argue with them or they argue with you, the next step is no friends. No friends is no fun at all- for anyone, like the duty teacher or the teacher, having to sort it out. So do what me, Jack and Joshua do.
